1. (Greek) A primordial sea god, son of Pontus and Gaia, who by Ceto fathered numerous monsters including Echidna and the gorgons.

2. (Greek) Phorcys of Phrygia, a Phrygian ally of the King Priam of Troy during the Trojan War.
